Are fragrance oils safe for cats or dogs?

Certain fragrance oils are safe for cats and dogs, preferably non-toxic and brands specifically made for animals.  However, it is important that they are never ingested, which is why it is advised to be mindful of where on your pet you are applying fragrance, or any product for that matter. If you have pets, keep the fragrance oil in a secure location away from your furry friend, and be sure to clean up any spills that they may be tempted to lick way.   Also, make sure to wash your hands after handling the fragrance oil and before handling your pet.

Finally, be mindful with strong scents such as peppermint, cinnamon, citrus and others. Your furry buddy has a sensitive nose that is easily overwhelmed.
