How long will fragrance oils last?

Fragrance oils have a shelf life of 6 to 12 months, depending on the components used to create the scent. It can last longer when stored under proper conditions. It's best to store fragrance oils in a cool, dark place away from light and heat. 

Once on the skin, it can last anywhere between 2 and 24 hours. This would depend on the type of scent and dilution. Fragrances with stronger concentration have longer staying power compared to weaker ones. Usually, a parfum, the most concentrated form, should last for 6-8 hours and an eau de toilette or cologne (3-4 hours).

Scents with heavy, citrus or lighter notes will last 2 to 6 hours. Darker and more woody scents tend to last longer regardless of its fragrance concentration.
